Osa Healthcare Recruitment are supporting our client to recruit an experienced CAMHS nurse for a
position in a Brand New Childrens Home. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an organisation
that provides a unique service by combining care, education and therapy for its young people.
About the Role:
We are looking to appoint a CAMHS Nurse with experience working with looked-after children and ideally experience in residential care or in-patient CAMHS. The role will include providing a highly specialist mental health service to young people with Emotional and Behavioural difficulties within a
bespoke brand new Children’s home.
Your responsibilities will include providing a therapeutic service for the children in care to guide
further assessment and prioritise intervention needs and meeting these needs. You will be involved
in direct therapeutic work with the children and work alongside other clinical and residential staff to
update and manage care plans in conjunction with senior staff.
You will work directly with the children providing a highly specialist therapeutic service.
You will provide regular therapeutic consultation and guidance to staff , as well as provide teaching
and training to staff around attachment, trauma, and mental health issues. This will depend on your experience.
You will actively contribute to care plans in order to provide co-ordinated psychological care for the children.
Successful applicants will need:
Highly developed communication skills (both verbally and written), with the ability to communicate highly complex, sensitive information to children, families, and other
Experience with children, young people, and their families
Skills and experience in complex psychological assessment, intervention, and management
