Osa Healthcare Recruitment is supporting our client to recruit Mental Health Nurses for a new service in Worcester. This service provides specialist inpatient and day patient eating disorder services for young people aged 13 -17 years as well as adults aged 18 – 25 years with a primary diagnosis of eating disorder who are working on goals to return to community living. The service specialises in supporting young people with the transition from CAMHS to adult services.
The Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) are experts in treating eating disorders. The aim of the service is to work closely with young people and their families on their goals, including supporting the young person to restore to a healthy weight and make progress towards recovery from their eating disorder. The intensive inpatient programme provides evidence-based therapies and approaches aimed at supporting young people and their families in their recovery. The service also offers nasogastric feeding for young people who are unable to manage oral intake.
In addition to the Inpatient they offer a Day Patient service. The day patient service runs from 8am till 6pm five days a week. The day programme is bespoke to each young person’s needs and provides intensive support without an inpatient stay. Throughout the day young people join individual and group therapy, work on their own recovery plans and activities and are supported at meal times. Young people who have attended our inpatient programme may step down to the day patient service to support their transition to the community.
